As of May 1, 2026, the Põltsamaa factory, along with the Põltsamaa brand and its production operations, has been acquired by Svensky Kaubanduse AS. The change in ownership marks a new chapter in the development of Põltsamaa and creates a strong foundation for the long-term and sustainable growth of both the brand and production.
The Põltsamaa factory and its people will continue in their current roles, and production in Põltsamaa will continue uninterrupted. Under the leadership of Svensky, the factory will continue producing ready meals, juices, and vegetable products, ensuring the quality and reliability that consumers associate with Põltsamaa products.
Going forward, the factory will operate under the company name Aromella OÜ. Cooperation with Orkla Eesti AS will also continue, as Orkla remains a customer of the Põltsamaa factory and will continue ordering products manufactured there, including preserved vegetable products.
For consumers, the ownership change primarily means continuity — the familiar Põltsamaa tastes will remain, continue to evolve, and stay a trusted part of the Estonian dining table in the future as well.
